DECKFORGE is a hybrid online/physical collectable card game inspired by our tour imagery with unlimited mana and instant casting. Play with the default deck or forge your own without limits. Share it with the world and face opponents in fast, tactical battles. Use the same deck for balanced duels, or bring your custom creation. Just keep it fair.
Definitions
Physical Deck: the shared physical deck. You can use the Official Deck or any other type of cards as placeholders.
Online Deck: the virtual deck editable with the Deck Generator. It's used for revealing cards and managing effects during gameplay on the website.
Setup
Players: 2 to 5
Life Points: Each player starts with 40
Deck Size: Physical deck size should be minimum 10 cards per player. Example: 3 players -> 30 cards (6 of each type)
Online Deck: Use the default deck or forge your own HERE, then load it on the main page for gameplay.
Parity: All players should use the same Online Deck or decks of equivalent power; use simulations or community rating to assess parity.
Starting Hand: Draw 3 cards. Max hand size is 5.
Graveyard: Shared; when deck is empty, reshuffle Graveyard into deck.
Initiative
How to decide who starts: Each player uses the card generator to reveal one Creature or Flying Creature from the Online Deck. Summoned creatures do not consume your Physical cards.
Scoring: Sum ATK + DEF. The player with the highest score starts.
Ties: If there is a tie, only the tied players reveal again until the tie is broken.
CLEAR ALL: After the initiative is decided, perform CLEAR ALL on the Battlefield so the game begins with an empty field.
Turn Structure
Draw: Draw 1 card. Max hand = 5
Play: Play 1 card: Creature, Flying Creature, Attack Spell, Defense Spell or Artifact.
Resolve: Resolve effects, apply damage or healing, move used non-permanents or activated Artifacts to the Graveyard.
End Turn: Discard down to max hand size if needed. Ongoing effects update as specified by the cards.
Combat Rules
Attacks: You may cast one Attack Spell each turn. Any number of your ready creatures may attack.
Targeting: Every creature ready to attack can either target another creature in play or one other opponent player. Attack Spells can target any opponent or creature.
Blocking: Defender can assign 1 creature as blocker of each attacking creature. Only flying can block flying unless a card says otherwise.
Defense: When targeted by an Attack Spell or by a creature attack against you or a creature you control, you may play 1 Defense Spell as a response per targeting event or activate one Artifact already on the Battlefield.
Creature damage: Damage is simultaneous. Any creature taking damage >= DEF is destroyed. Damage does not carry over to the next turn on Creatures and Flying Creatures.
Unblocked Creatures: Player loses life equal to attacker ATK.
Keywords & Stats
Ready: A creature is ready if it has passed Summoning Delay and is not Stunned, Frozen, or otherwise prevented from attacking.
Summoning Delay: Creatures and Flying Creatures cannot attack the same turn they enter the Battlefield.
ATK: Damage dealt by a creature.
DEF: Damage needed in one combat to destroy a creature.
Stun / Freeze: The affected creature cannot attack for the duration specified on the card.
Immune: The target is unaffected by spells and/or Artifacts as specified by the card.
Reflect: The next incoming spell is reflected back to its original caster as specified by the card.
Flying: Can only be blocked by flying unless a card says otherwise.
Unblockable: Cannot be blocked unless a card says otherwise.
Artifact Rules
Reveal & Battlefield: When you play an Artifact, reveal it and place it on the Battlefield as a permanent visible to all opponents.
Activation Window: You may activate your Artifacts at any time (during any turn, in any step, also as a response). Activating an artifact does not count as playing your 1 card per turn.
Single Use: Each artifact can be used once. After resolving its effect, move it immediately to the Graveyard. Then remove it manually from your Battlefield.
Multiple Artifacts: You may control multiple Artifacts on the Battlefield and choose when to activate them, but you can only activate one Artifact per player per turn (this also applies during an opponent's turn).
Timing Order
Creature combat: Apply static buffs/debuffs -> check eligibility (flying, unblockable) -> declare target -> defender may play 1 defense response -> simultaneous damage -> destroy creatures with damage >= DEF -> move destroyed to Graveyard -> resolve triggers.
Attack Spell: Reveal -> choose target -> defender may play 1 defense response -> resolve in order -> apply damage/prevention/reflect -> move used spells to Graveyard.
Artifact activation: Controller declares activation -> resolve the artifact's effect -> move the artifact to Graveyard -> player deletes artifact from Battlefield.
Graveyard & Refill
All used cards not on the Battlefield go to Graveyard.
Artifacts go to Graveyard after activation.
If deck runs out, reshuffle Graveyard into deck.
Winning
A player is eliminated at 0 life.
Eliminated players are skipped.
Last remaining player wins.
Reminders
Cards are revealed only during combat.
Play only 1 new card per turn.
Artifacts stay on Battlefield when revealed, can be activated anytime once, then go to Graveyard.
Once used Artifacts must be deleted from the Battlefield manually.
